Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Bluecrop’ Northern Highbush Blueberry is a classic, hardy blueberry shrub that thrives in temperate gardens. It yields large, sweet berries and a reliable harvest season. Prolific producer with cold-hardy vigor. This vigorous variety grows well in sun and acidic soil, offering a long fruiting window that delights the pantry and invites pollinator-friendly activity. A trusted choice for home growers seeking robust flavor and dependable performance from a familiar blueberry.

Care & Watering

Bluecrop thrives in acidic, well-drained soil and full sun. Water evenly to keep roots moist but not soggy, and mulch with pine bark to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.

Maintenance

Prune after harvest to shape the plant, remove older wood, and feed with an acid-loving fertilizer in spring for best yields.

Location & Tips

Plant in a sheltered, wind-safe spot with pH 4.5–5.5; avoid heavy clay. Ensure good air flow, mulching, and consider companion plants to support soil health.

Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Bluecrop’ (Bluecrop blueberry) is an elegant addition to any garden and patio. With its clusters of deep blue fruits and airy white flowers, this shrub provides both color and texture throughout the season. Thanks to its striking fall color and compact growth, Bluecrop forms a decorative eye-catcher, ideal for harvest-focused arrangements and nature-inspired plant combinations.
