Water and care

Salix viminalis 25x - Osier prefers evenly moist soil. Water deeply in dry spells, but ensure good drainage to avoid soggy roots.

Maintenance

Prune after winter to remove dead wood and shape; mulch yearly to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Standplaats

Full sun to light shade; shelter from strong winds. Plant in fertile, humus-rich soil near water for best growth.

Tips

Group plants for a natural screen, stake young shoots, and apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in spring if growth is slow.
