Knotweed 'Superba'

Persicaria affine 'Superba' develops strong flower spikes in bright pink, which gradually turn deep red during flowering and remain attractive well into autumn. The dense foliage forms a closed carpet and also develops decorative red tones during cooler seasons. This hardy perennial is highly suitable as a ground-cover plant.

Watering and Care

Persicaria affine 'Superba' performs best in a well-prepared garden soil that offers both good drainage and sufficient moisture retention. During dry spells, supplemental watering helps maintain strong growth and allows the plant to display its full ornamental value. Consistent moisture levels also support healthy foliage and reliable flowering.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance keeps the plant looking attractive throughout the season. Removing faded flowers, damaged leaves and older stems encourages fresh growth and helps maintain a tidy appearance.

Location

A suitable location with the right balance of light and space allows the plant to thrive. Well-aerated soil and good air circulation contribute to long-term health and vigor.
