Sedum reflexum Reflexed Stonecrop is a hardy, low-growing succulent with lemon-green to blue-green foliage and a sun-loving character. Low-growing hardy and drought-tolerant, it forms a compact mat that brings natural color to any bed.
In spring it blooms with star-shaped yellow flowers, adding gentle seasonal texture to the plant mix and attracting pollinators.
Perfect for rock gardens, borders, or containers, it prefers sun and well-drained soil and spreads with a cheerful, resilient habit.
Care & Watering
Sedum reflexum thrives in bright sun and well-draining soil; water sparingly, letting the soil dry between drinks. In growing season, water every 2–3 weeks; reduce in winter.
Maintenance
Limit pests and rot by removing dead leaves and trimming leggy growth in spring. Propagate from cuttings or offsets; avoid overwatering and heavy fertilizers.
Location & Tips
Plant in full sun with good air circulation and gritty, sandy soil. Mulch lightly, and group with other hardy succulents. Tip: avoid frost pockets and overwatering.
Sedum reflexum, commonly known as reflexed stonecrop, is a colorful eye-catcher with compact growth and bright, yellow flowers that enhance summer bloomers and attract butterflies and bees. The fine, pointed leaves provide a playful contrast in borders and rock gardens.
As beloved perennials and garden plants within the Sedum family, reflexed stonecrop fills bare spaces with texture and long-lasting color in rock and wall gardens.
