Rosemary 'Prostratus'

Rosmarinus officinalis 'Prostratus' grows with a low, trailing habit and is particularly suitable for wall tops, slopes, and containers. The evergreen, aromatic leaves combine beautifully with the light blue flowers that appear in spring. With its spreading growth, this rosemary variety brings Mediterranean character to sunny garden areas and is frequently visited by pollinating insects.

Watering and Care

Rosmarinus officinalis 'Prostratus' performs best in a well-prepared garden soil that offers both good drainage and sufficient moisture retention. During dry spells, supplemental watering helps maintain strong growth and allows the plant to display its full ornamental value. Consistent moisture levels also support healthy foliage and reliable flowering.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance keeps the plant looking attractive throughout the season. Removing faded flowers, damaged leaves and older stems encourages fresh growth and helps maintain a tidy appearance.

Location

A suitable location with the right balance of light and space allows the plant to thrive. Well-aerated soil and good air circulation contribute to long-term health and vigor.
