This hardy variety combines beautifully with ornamental grasses and other perennials while providing an excellent food source for bees and other pollinating insects.

Watering and Care

Salvia nemorosa 'Schwellenburg' is a robust perennial that requires only moderate watering and tolerates dry conditions well once established. Well-drained soil is essential.

Maintenance

Cutting back after the first flowering period encourages fresh growth and may result in a second flush of blooms.

Location

It thrives in full sun with good air circulation.

Tip

The rich flower color provides strong accents in traditional perennial borders.

Salvia nemorosa 'Schwellenburg' impresses with deep violet blooms and a tall, dense growth habit. Perfect for beds and borders that require structure and color simultaneously, especially in combination with lighter perennials.
