Rubus idaeus 'Schonemann' Schonemann Raspberry is a vigorous, reliable berry plant that brings classic raspberries to your garden. This bushy variety shows robust growth and reliable fruiting, promising a steady supply season after season. Enjoy juicy, fragrant berries with a sweet-tart balance—perfect for fresh snacking, desserts, and preserves. The plant forms sturdy canes and delivers steady fruiting across the harvest window, making it a dependable garden favorite. Ideal for sunlit beds and mixed borders, this variety is adaptable and productive. Expect high yield berries with excellent flavor from a compact, easy-to-grow shrub that fits many plots.

Care & watering

Schonemann raspberry loves full sun and rich, well-drained soil. Water deeply to keep roots evenly moist, especially in dry spells, and mulch to conserve moisture. Avoid soggy spots to prevent root rot.

Maintenance & location

Plant 120–150 cm apart with support or a fence; train canes on wires. Prune summer-fruiting canes after harvest and remove old fruiting wood to keep yields high.

Tips

Feed in early spring with a balanced fertilizer, water in the morning, and refresh mulch annually. Watch for cane diseases and pests; rotate or amend soil if problems recur.

Rubus idaeus 'Schonemann' Summer Raspberry offers a striking decorative element: richly red fruits, contrasting glossy leaves, and graceful branch structure. Its colorful clusters create a lively summer display and reinforce the seasonal atmosphere.
