Sedum cauticola ‘Lidakense’ is a compact, hardy succulent that forms a neat mat, ideal for rock gardens. This evergreen groundcover shows fleshy, blue-green leaves topped with pale pink to copper autumn tones, delivering a gentle, seasonal color flare. The plant remains resilient in sun and wind, showcasing natural toughness in outdoor beds.
Its low-growing habit stays tidy as it enlarges slowly, creating a dense carpet with a compact silhouette. In spring, tiny star-like flowers crown the stems, inviting pollinators and adding texture to the landscape.
A versatile addition to sunny borders and alpine settings, Sedum cauticola ‘Lidakense’ offers reliable vigour and visual interest year after year.
Care and Watering
Plant in full sun to light shade with well-drained soil. Water only when the top 2-3 cm are dry; Sedums resist drought but dislike standing water.
Maintenance
Remove spent blooms and dead leaves in spring; avoid heavy feeding—use a dilute succulent fertilizer once a year.
Location
Place in a sunny spot; tolerate heat but protect in harsh winters in cold climates.
Tips
Propagate by leaf or stem cuttings; do not overwater; use gravelly mulch to improve drainage.
Sedum cauticola ‘Lidakense’ Vetkruid is a low-growing, graceful perennial plant with striking, deep green to purplish leaves.
