Hens and chicks 'Commander Hay'

Sempervivum 'Commander Hay' forms compact rosettes in attractive shades of green and red that become even more colourful throughout the seasons. Watering and Care

Sempervivum 'Commander Hay' stores water in its fleshy rosettes and requires very little irrigation. Water sparingly during establishment and allow the soil to dry between waterings. Once established, it thrives with minimal attention.

Maintenance

Maintenance is limited to removing dead rosettes and spent flower stalks. Offsets are produced freely, gradually forming attractive colonies with little effort.

Location

Plant in full sun and sharply drained soil. It performs exceptionally well in rock gardens, alpine troughs, containers, and green roofs where drainage is excellent.
