Watering and Care
Silene dioica prefers fresh to moist soil and benefits from regular watering during extended dry periods. Young plants especially appreciate consistent moisture while establishing. Avoid prolonged waterlogging.
Maintenance
This species is easy to maintain. Remove faded flowers if desired to encourage a longer flowering season. Cut back old growth in spring before new shoots emerge.
Location
Choose a sunny or partially shaded location with humus-rich soil. It is ideal for wildflower gardens, natural borders, and moisture-retentive planting areas.
