Wood sage

Teucrium scorodonia forms bushy clumps of fresh green aromatic foliage with loose clusters of yellowish-green flowers. Its natural growth habit makes this native perennial an attractive choice for woodland edges, wildlife gardens, and partially shaded plantings. This hardy species is regularly visited by beneficial insects and adds subtle beauty to the garden.

Watering and Care

Teucrium scorodonia prefers humus-rich, well-drained soil that remains moderately moist. Water during extended dry periods, especially on lighter soils. Once established, it adapts well to varying garden conditions.

Maintenance

This easy-care perennial requires little maintenance. Remove old stems in spring to encourage fresh growth and thin out congested clumps if necessary.
