- Purple flowers in midsummer.
- Easy-care and long-lasting.
- Attractive for insects.
- Perfect for perennial beds.
- Hardy and robust.
Thalictrum rochebrunianum delights with elegant lavender-violet flowers highlighted by striking yellow stamens that seem to float above finely divided blue-green foliage. Its tall, delicate habit brings height, movement, and structure to perennial borders. This hardy perennial flowers in midsummer and combines beautifully with ferns, ornamental grasses, and late-flowering perennials.
Watering and Care
Thalictrum rochebrunianum prefers humus-rich soil with consistent moisture. Regular watering during dry spells supports its impressive height and abundant flowering.
Maintenance
Tall stems may require support in exposed areas. Remove spent stems after flowering or in spring. This long-lived perennial becomes more spectacular with age.
Location
Grow in full sun or partial shade with fertile, moisture-retentive soil. It is particularly effective as a background plant in large perennial borders.
Tip
The violet-pink flowers appear to float above the foliage, adding remarkable elegance and vertical interest.
Thalictrum rochebrunianum brings summer height and lightness to flower beds, borders, and natural-style gardens with pink flower spikes rising elegantly above the foliage. Especially decorative in natural-style perennial beds or as a solitary plant.
The blooms attract bees and butterflies, providing visual highlights.
