Thymus vulgaris 'Compactus' develops a particularly dense, compact growth habit with small grey-green leaves and releases an intense spicy fragrance. In summer, numerous soft pink flowers decorate the plant and attract bees and butterflies. This robust variety is ideal for herb gardens, gravel gardens, and Mediterranean-style plantings.

Watering and Care

Thymus vulgaris 'Compactus' performs best in a well-prepared garden soil that offers both good drainage and sufficient moisture retention. During dry spells, supplemental watering helps maintain strong growth and allows the plant to display its full ornamental value. Maintenance

Regular maintenance keeps the plant looking attractive throughout the season. Removing faded flowers, damaged leaves and older stems encourages fresh growth and helps maintain a tidy appearance.
