Care and Watering

Lavatera ‘Candy Floss’ loves full sun and well-drained soil. Water deeply during dry spells, but avoid soggy roots. In hot summers, water weekly at the base to encourage lush blooms.

Maintenance

Feed lightly in spring with a balanced fertilizer; remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms; prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and prevent lanky growth.

Location

Plant in a sheltered, sunny spot, with room for the shrub to spread; ensure good air flow to reduce disease.

Tips

Mulch to retain moisture, stake tall branches, and deadhead regularly for longer flowering.

Lavatera ‘Candy Floss’ is an irresistible mallow with soft pink flowers that keep standing out from spring to summer. The airy flower clusters attract butterflies and bees and give a playful, romantic touch to borders and mixes.
