Spike speedwell 'Nana Blauteppich'

Veronica spicata 'Nana Blauteppich' remains particularly compact and forms dense cushions of fresh foliage, from which numerous blue-violet flower spikes emerge in summer. The low growth habit makes it an excellent choice for rock gardens, border edges, and sunny planting areas. The flowers are highly appreciated by bees and other pollinating insects.

Watering and Care

Veronica spicata 'Nana Blauteppich' performs best in well-drained garden soil that retains some moisture without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, regular watering helps the plant remain healthy and encourages strong flowering. Once established, it becomes more resilient, but consistent care will always result in the most attractive growth.

Maintenance

Remove faded flowers and damaged foliage on a regular basis to keep the plant looking tidy. Cutting back old stems in spring encourages fresh new growth and helps maintain a neat habit.

Location

A position in full sun or light partial shade is ideal. Rich, loose soil with good drainage allows the plant to develop fully and produce abundant blooms.
