Spike speedwell 'Sunny Border Blue'

Veronica spicata 'Sunny Border Blue' brings intense colour to summer perennial borders with its strong blue-violet flower spikes. The compact, upright growth provides clear structure, while the dark green foliage beautifully highlights the vibrant blooms. From early summer into summer, numerous flowers appear and reliably attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies, creating lively activity in the garden.

Watering and Care

Veronica spicata 'Sunny Border Blue' performs best in well-drained garden soil that retains some moisture without becoming waterlogged. During extended dry spells, regular watering helps the plant remain healthy and encourages strong flowering. Once established, it becomes more resilient, but consistent care will always result in the most attractive growth.

Maintenance

Remove faded flowers and damaged foliage on a regular basis to keep the plant looking tidy. Cutting back old stems in spring encourages fresh new growth and helps maintain a neat habit.

Location

A position in full sun or light partial shade is ideal. Rich, loose soil with good drainage allows the plant to develop fully and produce abundant blooms.
