Hosta undulata 'Albomarginata' White-Edged Hosta is a compact, shade-loving perennial with broad, glossy green leaves edged in bright white. This form adds instant texture and a cool contrast to any shady corner.
The foliage forms a neat clump with a graceful ripple, maintaining attractive vigor year after year.
Ideal for shady borders and containers, it brings refined, natural beauty to your garden space.
Care and Watering
Plant in rich, well-drained soil in partial shade. Water deeply to keep roots moist, mulch to reduce evaporation, and avoid hot afternoon sun that dulls the white edge.
Maintenance
Apply light spring mulch, remove old leaves, and divide every 4–5 years. Feed lightly in early spring.
Location
Choose a sheltered, woodland-style spot with steady moisture and light shade to keep the margins bright.
Tips
Avoid overhead watering, monitor for slugs, and water at soil level to protect the foliage.
Albomarginated hosta shines as an ornamental plant with its striking green-white leaf pattern. The slender contrasting edge provides calm and rhythm in borders and pots, and the elegant flower stalks add fine height to groupings.
Ideal for those seeking a striking shade plant with timeless ornamental value and strong visual impact.
