Ideal for plant lovers seeking a timeless addition, it also attracts pollinators and enhances garden character with its refined presence.

Care

Artemisia lactiflora thrives in full sun to light shade and well-drained soil; avoid waterlogged mixes. Mulch lightly to retain moisture and reduce weeds.

Watering

Keep soil evenly moist during establishment, then benefit from drought tolerance: water deeply but infrequently, allowing the top layer to dry between waterings.

Location

Plant in a sunny border or herb garden with good air flow; space plants 60–90 cm apart to prevent mildew and promote air circulation.

Tips

Prune after flowering to maintain shape, deadhead to extend bloom, protect from strong winds, and wear gloves when handling the aromatic foliage.

Artemisia lactiflora Bijvoet brings charm and structure to borders with its fine silvery-green foliage and airy inflorescences. Ideal for natural and prairie-like plantings where subtle accents are needed. The plant pairs beautifully with colorful summer-bloomers and autumn-bloomers and remains a striking choice as a perennial thanks to its graceful silhouette and striking leaves.
